How to your dye your bolt

Thought you guys might want to try it.
Remember to do with the right kind of bolt.

I recently got a friend to dye my bolt, and it looks quite amazing. I got some instructions from him, so I'll leave those here.

1) Go to Wal-Mart or the like and get some black rit dye.
2) Follow instructions on the package and heat until it is smoothe and not clumpy.
3) Put in JUST the bolt, I don't suggest putting in your bolt pin, screw, spring, or ball.
4) Leave submerged in the dye for 10-15min, or until the bolt has reached the right shade of black you want.
5) Remove bolt from dye, and put in an ICEY COLD bowl full of water.
6) After bolt has been in the water for a few minutes pull it out, dry it off, and put it in the freezer until the inside of the bolt is no longer wet.

Your bolt should now be a great shade of black that compliments your marker well.

Other Notes:
- Can be used with ANY color dye, not just black.
- The cold water and freezer is to seal the pores of the delrin and to dry it off.
- BE CAREFUL, THE DYE WILL STAIN. HAVE 409 AT READY.
- I will not be held responsible if it doesn't turn out how you wanted it to.

You also wanna do this with an old pot that you dont mind ruining...

Also do it outside on the grill or camping stove w/e, if you do it inside (like I did) the steam coming off of the pot holds some of the dye...I found hundreds of little reds dots all over the kitchen when I dyed by friends Egg shell.

I've seen some people take a hot glue gun and draw stuff on the side of their loader shells / bolts and then dye it and peel the glue off...
